Morning Feeding

The puppies are growing so quickly and they enjoy their food. Their meals are hand-fed to help with socialization and reinforcing that people bring them good things!

Solene's Pups at 4 Weeks

Time is flying by! I'm really proud of how these pups are growing. They are so brave when we go outside for a few minutes. They are eating 3 meals a day in addition to nursing from mom. They still sleep most of the time, but when they're up, they are fun!

A Few Claire Pups

Yesterday we snuck a few of Claire's babies outside as they turned two weeks old. The litter is very similar in appearance. They are doing great!

Solene's Pups Get Outside

Today was a fun day. Solene's pups got to go outside for the first time. They only spent a short time but were very brave in their new environment. They are now eating solid food twice a day in addition to nursing from mom.

Our Morning Routine

Every morning, our routine includes a weigh-in of each puppy to ensure that they are gaining properly. When they all fall asleep against me, we have extra snuggle time! I handle the pups a lot, and now their eyes and ears are open so it's fun to see them responding to me.

Barbet Babies :)

Claire and Pascal have a most consistent and pretty litter of pups. Here are a few photos from this morning. The boys are blue, red, purple, and orange. Girls are yellow, white, pink, and green.

Claire's New Puppies!

Our wonderful foundation girl Claire has whelped her final litter and she has given it her all! With 8 puppies total, we have 4 black girls, 3 black boys, and 1 brown boy. All of the pups are very similar in look and weight, and were whelped very easily! We expect this litter to excel in temperament as both Claire and Pascal have super sweet and confident personalities. We are really excited to watch this beautiful litter grow.

Claire is the first Best in Show winning Barbet in North America, and she has won Bests in both AKC and UKC. She is our special girl who started our love affair with this breed!

One Week Pups

This week has flown by! The puppies have almost doubled their weight and they look terrific. Solene continues to be a sensational mother who keeps the puppies spotless and rarely leaves the whelping box. The puppies are really crawling around well, and they let Solene know when they need a feeding!
