Breeder of AKC Barbet on our farm in Southwest Pennsylvania. Info on French Water Dogs, Barbet History, Barbet Breeders, Barbet Puppies. We have a lifetime of experience, a dedication to quality, and a serious approach to breeding healthy and happy puppies.
I couldn't be happier for David, winning Best of Opposite with six month old Jessa at the AKC National Championship show. 9 Barbet were exhibited in Orlando. Hoping for even bigger entries in 2020!
Our girls as they appear in the November/December issue of the Canine Chronicle. There is also an article about the Barbet that I wrote for the magazine as we enter the AKC Sporting group in January 2020.
The puppies are now four weeks old and are just amazing! They are so similar in type and temperament. We are really enjoying their new explorations every day. This is a special litter for us and we couldn't be more pleased with the pups so far. The baby Barbet are meeting new people and having different experiences added to their daily routine. Teeth are just starting to come in but Flynn continues nursing them several times a day. They are eating their food with enthusiasm.
Yesterday Bourbon won Best in Show #20 in Wheaton, IL. What an exciting year this is for our pretty girl! Bourbon is the #1 Whippet, #1 Hound, and #3 All Breeds dog in the US.

Here's a quick video of Flynn and her ten beautiful babies who are enjoying their feeding time.
Late last night, Flynn began delivering her puppies. Three hours later, we had ten beautiful black Barbet babies. 6 females and 4 males, all doing well. Flynn is doing a wonderful job taking care of her new huge family. We are really excited to watch this litter grow.
Dana's recent page from the Canine Chronicle. We are so proud of this beautiful girl.
Flynn has big news of her own as she is expecting a nice sized litter from Can Ch Hickory Tavern Fool For Brookberry CM. This litter is 3/4 the same pedigree as Dana and Beth, our stars from Marlee's only litter in 2017.
Puppy Taylor, otherwise known as Hickory Tavern ExGirlfriend, came along for the ride to Louisville and showed like a star in the 4-6 month puppy shows to earn her first two points. I am very impressed with how she handled the very busy show building. Taylor definitely enjoyed herself!
Our beautiful Dana, Hickory Tavern Former Child Star CM2, earned a new title in Louisville, Kentucky, where she was named Best in Miscellaneous under Charles Olvis, Michael Canalizo, and Sally Wynn. Dana came home with a CM2 title and a big chunk toward her CM3. I just love showing this fun, sweet dog.
We are excited to be part of the team showing this flawless Whippet beauty in 2019! Thanks to Justin and Cheslie Smithey and Dr Ken Latimer for the opportunity.
